Letter from the Founder - Cedric Johnson
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ.”
I want to thank all of you that donated coats,
sponsored coats and gave words of encouragement to help keep the
ministry going this year.
Your love has given us great joy and encouragement,
because you have refreshed the hearts of many. I also want to
that all of the participants that helped distribute the coats
this year. Your time and effort is appreciated in so many ways.
I want to give a special thank you to D&K Menswear (Jonathan,
Elie and Mona) for allowing Scholar Keeper to purchase the new
coats from your stores. A special Thank You also goes to
the 6th Grade Math and Green Team of Woodland Middle School and
Eric Ellis for the generous donations to this year's coat drive
We passed out over 156 coats, 108 hats, and
108 pairs of gloves in 2 cities. This year we passed out coats
at the same time in Atlanta and Birmingham.
Our participants in Birmingham were Michael Banks, Angela
Banks, Malik Banks, Alex Banks, Regina and Angela Burke, Terri
Rush, Willie Frazier, Leroy Stover, Greg Dawson, and Anita
Williams. Our
participants in Atlanta were Alex Nance, Sr.,
Alvin Dollar, Kenton Eskridge, Kevon Eskridge, Jelani Woods,
Davion Waluyn and
me. We packed up our
vehicles on December 20th and rode through the streets of
Atlanta and Birmingham looking for homeless people to give out
coats. Our first stop was
at the KES community holiday program in Dekalb County where we
donated coats and clothing to needy families. We also gave
clothing and shoes to Atlanta Union Mission, a homeless family
shelter in downtown Atlanta. .

and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and
